The exhibition “Residue” brings together five artists to explore a simple yet complex question: what remains after a performance, and can what is left behind take on a life of its own?
Performance art is often tied to the body in the moment—to someone present, acting, speaking, and moving. But once the performer is gone, what stays behind? Do we feel their absence? And if we do, does that absence need to be filled, or is the trace itself enough?In this exhibition, the artists experiment with these ideas. Together, these remains ask us to see performance not only as an event but also as something that can linger, shift, and continue in another form.
Expect sound installations, moving sculptures, and literally, the residue of the performances.
